Award Winning Media Personality & Host

After embarking on a career in media at the start of the pandemic, three years later Jasmyne Flowers has won the 2023 title of Media Host of the year at the Behind The Scenes awards. 

Jasmyne Flowers was born in Cocoa, Florida. She moved to Atlanta at age 2, and it has been home ever since. As a young child, she watched movies and dreamed of being a director or producer. 

Between the ages of 10-12, she decided that this was her career. Seeing today’s vibrant, opinionated social butterfly, Jasmyne Flowers, it is hard to believe that she was once shy and timid. 

Jasmyne graduated from Clark Atlanta University with a degree in Mass Communications. She also holds a Master’s degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University.  

Jasmyne’s professional life centers around media and communications. Ironically, these two areas once posed barriers for her. To overcome the barriers and regain her love for the field, Jasmyne took a hiatus from industry work. During that time, she worked to redefine and restructure her life’s direction.  

In 2017, Jasmyne reentered the industry in full force. She launched a podcast with two college friends. She was part of the team for a weekly podcast called The Even Exchange, which focused on popular culture, mental health & wellness, accountability, politics, relationships, and personal stories. The conversational format allowed Jasymne to share her viewpoints with a larger national audience.  

With a conviction to seize every opportunity, Jasmyne became a co-host of The Rated R Show and The Play Cousins Podcast. She was quickly becoming a leading voice in popular culture.  

Currently, Jasmyne is a prominent red-carpet interviewer, event host, and disruptor. She co-hosts the international radio show, The Platform Speaks, with Rahim Brazil, which serves as a voice for artists, entrepreneurs, cultural influencers, and individuals who want to share their platforms with the world.  

Jasmyne is on the fast track to becoming one of the country's most recognized and influential spokespeople.
